Cruising in 2010 will be bigger, better and cheaper

(telegraph)  Even taking into account the staggering growth of the cruise industry over the past decade, 2010 will stand out as a milestone year. For a start, 16 new ships will be joining the global cruise fleet. In November Royal Caribbean International will be unveiling the world's largest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas. Not only will it hold 5,400 passengers, but this ground-breaking vessel will offer features never before seen at sea, such as a zip wire across the decks and a full-sized carousel. Oasis of the Seas will be followed next May by Norwegian Cruise Line 's Norwegian Epic. This will be slightly smaller, holding 4,200 passengers, but will have imaginative touches such as an ice bar and the only water-tube slide at sea. READ MORE
